Mobility & Fitness for older adults

I am a certified personal trainer, a fitness instructor at the YMCA, and an award-winning professional dancer, choreographer & theatre maker.

I describe mobility as functional fitness. Mobility work incorporates strength, flexibility, stability and movement training in order to help our bodies meet the physical demands of everyday life with confidence. With a decades long career in contemporary dance and previous certifications in yoga and pilates, I bring a wealth of physical knowledge and passion to my work with older adults.

TESTIMONIALS

“My right shoulder was painful and restricted when I started training with Kate. I had mobility challenges as well. I was determined to avoid surgery. After 12 weekly sessions with Kate, following the personalized plan she made for me, I felt improvements that are continuing. The range of motion and strength I have now in that shoulder is wonderful. The pain has remarkably decreased. thank you Kate for your knowledge and expertise.”
